About SC Lexys
A solo practice, on purpose.
SC Lexys acts only for plaintiffs, people pursuing personal injury, TPD and Work Cover claims, and never for insurers. It's a deliberately small practice, run directly by one solicitor, because that's what the work actually calls for.
Suraj Shrikumar
Suraj's legal career spans two countries. He was enrolled as an Advocate with the High Court of Kerala, India, in 2011, before relocating to Australia, where he was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2019. In Brisbane, he practised at Littles Lawyers and, most recently, as an Associate at Hall Payne Lawyers, acting for clients across workplace injury, motor vehicle accident, public liability, medical negligence, and TPD claims.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, along with an Overseas Legal Degree Recognition diploma from the University of Sydney and Practical Legal Training through the College of Law. As an Indian-born lawyer practising in Queensland, Suraj is committed to improving access to justice for multicultural communities, and can assist clients in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil.
Why a solo practice
SC Lexys is deliberately a solo practice. It means the person who first hears your story is the same person who runs your file, negotiates on your behalf, and picks up the phone when you call, not whoever's free that day. For a claim that's already stressful enough, that consistency matters.
At SC Lexys, you're the client, not a file number. You can call me directly, and I'll tell you plainly where things stand, including when the honest answer isn't the one you were hoping for.
